AMATA is studying invest in a solar roof to be installed on AMATA Summit ready-built roofs and expects to make a decision this year. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 20%. BIZ expects 3Q16 revenue growth of more than 20% QoQ and is maintaining its 2016 revenue target growth of 50-60% YoY supported by its backlog of Bt566mn, of which will book 60% this year. Comment: Their ability to continue this growth has been impressive. One day they are hoping that the entire car will be made out of some form of plastics because then EPG will effectively become an indirect car manufacturer.

FORTH

MAX
MAX board approved spending Bt454mn to buy 21% of a 120MW cogeneration power plant. It expects this to generate return in the long run. It expects to wind up deals to buy 2-3 power plants by the end of 2016. (Khao Hoon, 09/08/16)

PF is talking to prospective partner to invest in mega complex at Trat, expected to be launched in September. It expects 2016 presales of Bt17bn with revenue of Bt13.1bn. SMART expects lightweight concrete block demand to recover in 2H16 as property developers launch new projects. It expects net profit to be good, backed by orders. SNC plans to invest in vendor machines to expand its business line. It got Bt100mn from an Australian entrepreneur and expects to book net profit in 4Q16. It revised its investment budget to Bt800mn to handle a water plant project. (Thun Hoon, 09/08/16)

TOP reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt7.75bn, up 24% with GIM of US$11. It also benefited from stock gain and SPP. This brought 1H16 net profit to Bt12.47bn, up 16%. (Khao Hoon, 09/08/16)

UBIS has budgeted Bt20mn to set up a plant in China. It expects this to increase its revenue from China from 30% to 40%. It expects 2016 net profit to be close to last year’s Bt145mn. It plans an acquisition deal next year . (Thun Hoon, 09/08/16)

XO expects orders from Europe to increase after it quoted prices in Thai baht. It plans to expand its customer base in 2H16. It expects the operational startup of its new plant to increase sales. Comment: Well thats one way to take FX risk out. I don’t think they are able to do this across all of their products
