ANAN plans to launch six projects to raise presales in 1Q18 out of the 22 projects worth Bt48bn targeted to launch this year. It expects 2018 presales to meet its goal with growth of at least 24% to Bt40.5bn. It plans to conduct a roadshow this year to expand its foreign customer base. (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)
Comment: Their stock price declined by some 5% because a project transfer is delayed due to government paperwork not yet being completed in the last week of December ’17. Normally I would say meh, now I’m thinking wtf, as a developer they should know the procedure, doesn’t exactly boost ones confidence.

BCH’s 4Q17 earnings will grow a material 42.2% from last year backed by increasing patients, rising treatment fees and social security. (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)

ITEL targets 2018 revenue to grow by 40% as it plans to focus on network services by improving quality and controlling expenses to improve margin. It plans to attract new customers and is going to book revenue from the border internet project of Bt350-500mn . (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)

IVL
IVL’s 2018 outlook is positive on continued improvement in the PET and PTA industry as well as financial troubles at big industry players, widening its spread. It will benefit from the US tax reform, which it projects will raise earnings by Bt1.3bn. (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)
Comment: This stock is up nearly 3x in the past 2 years.

JWD
JWD’s board approved a dividend on 9M17 of Bt0.15/share, XD on January 23 and payment on February 9. It says its business is growing well and accumulated profit is rising continuously, while liquidity is still good. It says it booked large revenue from the sale to an RIET in 4Q17. PK
PK says 1Q18 performance will be outstanding on many overseas orders. It currently has backlog of Bt2.4bn, of which all will be booked as revenue this year. It says the global economy is recovering and many countries are beginning to promote private investment. It expects customers from Vietnam will send orders worth at least US$3mn, which will support revenue growth of 10-15% as targeted. (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)

PLANET
PLANET says 2018 earnings will turn around as its business has bottomed out. It is going to transfer many projects to customers and has solid backlog of Bt300mn, of which 80% will be booked as revenue this year. It says the overseas market outlook is positive and it projects revenue from overseas to double on rising demand for network and broadcasts in Myanmar. (Thun Hoon, 15/1/18)

RML
RML targets revenue of Bt1.3bn in five years from 2017’s estimated revenue of Bt500mn and plans to increase recurring revenue. It is partnering with Bangkok Wooden to establish a joint venture company, Baan Ying Group, to expand into the food and beverage business. It targets revenue of Bt100mn in its first year. Comment: Not the worst decision to partner with this restaurant group

RS
RS’s health and beauty business is doing well with products receiving good consumer response. It plans to negotiate with 2-3 foreign partners to increase food supplement products by 30 SKUs. Channel 8’s ratings have been rising and it expects to raise its ad rate in 1H18, which will raise 2018 revenue to reach Bt5.3bn. (Thun Hoon, 15 /1/18)
Comment: Rosy skies ahead, I suppose sales teams will begin writing that it is cheap on a PEG basis…

VCOM
VCOM targets 2018 revenue to grow by 20-30% from 2017 from the booking of revenue from vServe Plus. It plans to invest in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar and targets revenue to reach Bt2bn in three years. (Khao Hoon, 15/1/18)

    • No idea, its just a bit strange that AIT can trade at 2x backlog, whereas SAMTEL is trading at 0.7x backlog. Could explain why the company has come out with a news announcement to the local papers yesterday/today

      • I guess we have to assess the quality of the backlog, for Samtel seems to be a lot of low margin stuff compared to AIT.

        Similar to what I see from ITD, they seems to win a pc of everything but struggle to turn a profit because of their margins and debt,
