BIG has asked for shareholder approval to reduce registered and paid-up capital from Bt882.21bn to Bt352.88bn by means of reducing the value of each share from Bt0.25 to Bt0.10 to write off negative retained earnings and discount on capital. CHOW
CHOW plans to operate 3.5MW more in solar farms in Japan, which will increase total capacity by 12MW. It plans to invest more. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
Comment: They are actively looking for projects throughout the region. Then again so are many other companies in the space, its just a question of how much is one willing to pay.
CWT
CWT expects to sign the PPA for a 9.9MW waste power plant after completing the public hearing. It expects the sale of ordinary shares via PP to be successful. It expects to show a net profit in 3Q15 from 3Q14 net loss of Bt1.73mn aided by large orders. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)

EASTW
EASTW expects 3Q15 tap water sales to grow 7-8%. It has budgeted Bt1.7bn to invest in 7 water pipelines. It plans to list subsidiary “UU” in February–March 2016. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/15)
Comment: The listing of UU does hint towards EASTW becoming a holding company and UU being a pure water utility play.
NUSA
NUSA is talking to prospective partner to invest in alternative energy through subsidiary NUSA Power at home and abroad. It has approved the allotment of new ordinary shares of Bt7mn via PP. It expects to use this capital for its real estate business. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/15)
PLANB
PLANB has budgeted Bt121mn to acquire 85% of Maxview Media Group Co., Ltd. It expects this acquisition to increase ad area coverage and grow net profit. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
PTTEP
PTTEP expects 2H15 petroleum sales to be close to 1H15’s 326,000 barrel/day which will give it sales growth of 1% in 2015 sales growth, missing its target of 3%. It targets to maintain 2015 EBITDA margin at not less than 69-70%. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/15)
SAMART
SAMART has invested in setting up five new JV companies with PSTC. It plans for the subsidiaries to engage in the distribution and installation of all types of power control systems and power backup systems and construction of power plants. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
Comment: This group does seem to have their fingers in every potential government work, and it doesn’t seem to matter which party is in charge.
SGP
SGP expects to benefit from bump up in LPG price to US$350/ton. It expects 2015 sales of 2.6mn tons on the back of high orders, both local and overseas. It has budgeted Bt500mn to invest in a port and warehouse. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/15)
SIAM
SIAM is considering investing in solar cells and alternative energy business at home and abroad. It plans to invest in Cambodia and Myanmar because of supply shortages there. Its target customers are industrial. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
SPCG
SPCG plans to issue a debenture of not over Bt13bn. It will use the funds to pay off debt and as working capital. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
Comment: Effectively this is pure financial management, to pay lower interest rates.
UWC
UWC has acquired a 9.9MW biomass power plant valued at Bt525mn after getting the PPA from PEA. It expects this to contribute revenue of Bt220mn/year since 4Q15. It targets power plant capacity of 50MW by the end of this year. (Khao Hoon, 23/09/15)
