Market Update 09/05 – 13/05
Commodities specifically: oil, energy and petrochems have been leading the way in the past few weeks and should oil continue its positive movement then this is effectively the only sector within the market pulling everyone else up. 1Q earnings season is reaching its last day today, and thus far will its all inline with what one should expect..weak. Anything else? Well some economic data for Thailand is due today.

Your comment about the Education Budget is easily explained if the rest of the country is like Chiang Mai. I exercise my dogs routinely on the CMU Agriculture Campus. A new building or ”Project” has been built each year for the last 8 . None of these buildings has been occupied and the Biogas demonstration plant never started and has now been stripped of some essential parts.
Someone I know was arrested then released for selling teaching appointments. His wife teaches English but cannot hold the simplest conversation.
