Comment: That would change the game quickly for such a firm, such services are yet to exist in Thailand despite the prevalence in the US. In the end the share price collapsed because 1) it was expensive 2) it’s EPS was high due to a tax benefit which has now expired

BANPU
BANPU is expanding at full speed in Vietnam. It targets coal sales volume to reach 2mn tons this year, supported by high domestic demand for electricity. (Kao Hoon, 8/1/19)

COM7
CEO Mr. Sura Khanittaweekul says executives did not sell their shares and confirmed the solidity of the company. About the revenue guidance cut by Apple Inc, he believes this will not impact COM7’s performance. 4Q18 sales will push full year sales to hit target, he said. (Kao Hoon, 8/1/19)
Comment: Certain consumers will constantly buy new iphones and it’s still viewed as a brand to have. So is the annual iphone trade still on for COM7?

GUNKUL
GUNKUL said the deal to set up a power plant in Vietnam will be completed soon. The Kimitsu power plant will start commercial operation on Feb 1. It expects to be awarded an EPC project worth around Bt1bn. It expects earnings to reach new records every quarter this year with target revenue growth of no less than 25%. (Thun Hoon, 8/1/19)

HMPRO
HMPRO expects 2019 results to be good. It has set capex of Bt5-6bn to expand branches, improve margin and do a road show to keep investors informed. (Thun Hoon, 8/1/19)

SSP
SSP will start commercial operation of power plants with total electricity production capacity of 65MW this year. It expects revenue growth of 25%. The power plant in Mongolia will start commercial operation soon. It targets total electricity production capacity to reach 400MW and is interested in investing locally as well as in Vietnam, Japan and Mongolia. (Thun Hoon, 8/1/19)

TCAP
CEO Praphan Anupongongarch said TCAP has promptly raised its deposit rate in response to the raise by big commercial banks. He continues to deny the acquisition of TMB. He targets loan growth of 4- 5% this year, focusing on leases and auto cash loans (“cash4car”). The company will keep NIM at no less than 3%. (Thun Hoon, 8/1/19)
Comment: TCAP has been in the news over the years for M&A’s but nothing has materialised. And I doubt we’ll see anything with TMB.

TKN
TKN targets sales growth of at least 12-14% this year as tourism recovery will supports its local sales while sales in foreign markets, US and ASEAN, are expected to be outstanding, especially in China. It is finding product distributors, planning to introduce 3-4 new products and studying a new business. (Thun Hoon, 8/1/19)
