Comment: Would be a good move if the government is finally moving ahead with the IT projects, AIT, SAMTEL, and to an extent MFEC would benefit.
MAJOR
MAJOR signals an outstanding 2017 performance, driven by popular movies. It targets 2017 revenue growth of 15%. It plans to invest Bt1bn to expand cinemas both domestically and internationally. (Thun Hoon, 18/8/17)
Comment: I used to believe that that cinemas would eventually die out, but this was my thinking 5 years ago and it hasn’t been the case.

MTLS
MTLS says its financial position is strong and that the B/E news is false. It targets 2017 loan growth of 50% with growth next year of 40%. It says current NPL ratio is 1%. (Thun Hoon, 18/8/17)
Comment: So no issues, stock price should recover and if they can really do 50% loan growth then earnings will comfortably double each year.
PACE
PACE says earnings from “Apollo” are reasonable at Bt8.23bn. (Thun Hoon, 18/8/17)
Comment: No they are not.
PTT
PTT proceeds with gas spin-off. PTT Plc, the national oil and gas conglomerate, says it is in the process of separating its gas balance sheet from PTT to spin off the business. (Bangkok Post, 18/8/17)
TASCO
TASCO to expand abroad, to get in on demand from China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia. Its business plan in Philippines is expected to be finalized in 2018. (Thun Hoon, 18/8/17)
