AIS asked to review plan to use Jas spectrum for its 2G customers — THE NATIONAL Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) yesterday asked Advanced Info Service (AIS)to review its plan to protect its 2G subscribers in the part related to Jas Mobile Broadband (JASMBB),citing that the existing plan could not be allowed. (The Nation, 10/3/16) AIS turns down True’s ‘hefty’ B450m payment call for 2G – Advanced Info Service (AIS) has rejected a proposal made by True Corporation for the company to pay what it terms a hefty spectrum fee payment in exchange for retaining its 2G customers on the 900-megahertz network for three months. Comment: Again as stated yesterday, ADVANC does already have the deal with DTAC and they don’t need to partner w/ TRUE, especially at this silly high monthly rate

MINT sets 5-year target growth of 15-20% annually supported by old and new business. It targets raising the number of hotels to 210 and restaurants to more than 3,100 outlets. It plans to increase revenue from international to 50% and will continue to take over businesses. (Thun Hoon, 10/03/16)
Comment: They have consistently met their targets in the past and wouldn’t be surprised to see them continue to do so…just amazing

PTG
PTG is confident that 1Q16 will be good even if oil price is still low, as it is getting more volume from higher demand. It expects oil price to swing in the range of US$40-50/bbl. It will increase the number of its gas stations to 1,600 nationwide. (Thun Hoon, 10/03/16)
