AIS gears up for 4G network expansion – Advanced Info Service is gearing up for fourth-generation (4G) network expansion on multi-frequency networks next year. Board approves dividend — HEMRAJ’s board approved a dividend of Bt0.06/share; XD on Oct 11 and payment on Oct 30. Major shareholder NOT selling — JAS’s biggest shareholder debunked rumors about him planning to sell JAS shares to new investor group. He said JAS will move ahead to set up an infrastructure fund. PTT delays PLA plant on slow demand – The giant oil and gas conglomerate PTT Plc has decided to delay its polylactic acid (PLA) joint venture for up to two years on concerns over slow demand for green plastics in the global market. NatureWorks LLC, the US-based company in which PTT Global Chemical Plc (PTTGC) holds a 50% share with Cargill Inc, planned to start construction of Asia’s first PLA plant at the end of this year for a total cost of US$200mn. SAMTEL

Gets Bt1.65bn contract — SAMTEL has won work from the Department of Lands worth Bt1.165bn. The contract involves setting up an information system and installation of four computer systems within 360 days. (Khao Hoon, 02/10/13)

WHA

Expects 2013 revenues of Bt7bn — WHA expects revenues for this year to reach Bt7bn, substantially higher than last’s year Bt2.21bn. Today the company is expected to announce its plans on a big warehouse project with KPN. (Tun Hoon, 02/10/13)

Comment: We still can’t get our heads wrapped around the valuation of this company, its trading @ a mkt cap of THB 38.6bn!
