EPCO
EPCO plans to expand its power plants in Thailand and abroad to support business. It reported 1Q16 net profit of Bt82.2mn, up 29.6%. It plans to increase its capacity to 200MW before listing EP on the SET. It plans to increase capacity to 500MW in 2018. (Thun Hoon, 17/5/16)
ILINK
ILINK plans to bid for three projects worth Bt7.1bn. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 10- 15%. It has budgeted Bt420mn to build a data center. It expects to list subsidiary “Interlink Telecom” on mai in 3Q16. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)
Comment: Data Centres aren’t the cheapest thing to build at all, but if the government is genuinely going to guarantee 50% of revenue then they are no brainers. I still don’t quite understand how this is competitive in today’s landscape given how much cheaper it is to use what, for example, Amazon offers.
IRPC
IRPC is confident that 2016 profit will be a new high due to the startup of its UHV project that will lift GIM above US$14. It expects to book an inventory gain in 2Q16. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)

KTC reported 1Q16 profit of Bt635mn, up 11% YoY, after on growth in its members and credit card spending. It expects 2016 loan growth of 15% and the same net profit as in 2015. (Thun Hoon, 17/5/16)
Comment: And these are amazing numbers given the industry that KTC is operating in.
MK
MK shows 1Q16 net profit of Bt94.41mn or growth of 209.42%, on total revenue of Bt611.77mn or growth of 40%. It plans to launch a new brand “Chuancheun Grand” with two projects worth Bt1.7bn, focusing on premium housing. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)

PTG reported 1Q16 net profit of Bt296mn or growth of 79.8% due to better cost management and inventory. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)
Comment: Their growth engine is expansion pure and simple, more stations, more revenues and they’ve done this well with the leasing model for new location.
SC
SC reported 1Q16 net profit of Bt469mn or growth of 194% on revenue of Bt3.3bn, growth of 60%. It expects to launch two modern SDH projects in total worth Bt1.66bn. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)
SUPER
SUPER reported net profit of Bt27.78 in 1Q16 up from a net loss of Bt33.76 in 1Q15 due to revenue from sale of 649.95MW electricity. It plans to expand PPA to 2000MW in 2017. It expects to expand to 1000MW this year to support revenue. (Thun Hoon, 17/5/16)
TASCO

THAI
THAI reported 1Q16 net profit of Bt6bn or growth of 32% despite the 2.7% fall in total revenue to Bt50bn due to less impairment of asset and airplanes. (Kao Hoon, 17/5/16)
TWZ
TWZ is confident that 2016 revenue will reach Bt5bn supported by high demand for 4G networks and booking Bt500mn from its condominium in Pattaya. It reported 1Q16 profit growth of 398.15% YoY from a big-lot order. (Thun Hoon, 17/5/16)
