Comment: How is 5% revenue growth a recovery? Domestic automotive sales are still far below the peak in 2012 and exports haven’t gone anywhere given the shift in strategy that the global players are undergoing to set up hubs throughout the region and not rely on Thailand.

AOT
AOT is getting ready to finalize its development plan for its six airports in July. The company has Bt60bn in cash on hand and EBITDA of Bt20-30bn per year. The board has approved capex of Bt220bn to develop the six airports under its management. (Thun Hoon, 23/6/17)

MTLS will go on a roadshow in Sweden and the UK in hopes of attracting foreign investment. Management expects loan growth of 50% from a larger client base. The company will add 600 new branches and new clients this year. (Thun Hoon, 23/6/17)

NOK
NOK will undertake another round of capital increase via PP. It will submit this for the board’s approval in July. The company is talking with three potential new strategic partners. Today, Mr. Patee, NOK’s CEO will receive the AOC certificate from CAAT after disappearing from public view since the news of the equity increase. (Kao Hoon, 23/6/17)

PDG
PDG expects 2H17 will benefit from demand recovery. 2017 revenue is expected to grow 10% YoY. Management expects to finalize its deal with a Cambodian partner in 3Q17. The company has Bt200mn in cash on hand. (Thun Hoon, 23/6/17)

PTT expects 2H17 to benefit from high seasonal demand. It is studying LNG expansion projects. The company is also looking to list its subsidiary PTTOR next year. (Thun Hoon, 23/6/17)

PTTEP
PTTEP expects S1 project to be back to full production in a month after Article 44 resolved the issue with Sor Por Kor. DMF expects to issue the TOR for the Bongkot and Erawan project bidding by August. (Thun Hoon, 23/6/17)

THAI
THAI expects 2017 load factor to be higher than last year’s 73%. The company is in talks to convert its baht-denominated debt to yen or euro to cut interest cost. Management still has not made up its mind on NOK’s equity increase. It expects to consider whether its rehabilitation plans, due to be submitted on July 15, will really put an end to the losses.
