AJA’s board approved the setting up of new subsidiary “Risen Energy”. This company will import and sell electrical vehicles, set up charging stations, produce batteries and establish an EV production factory under the brand “BYD” from China. Comment: The company formerly known as AJD that was at the forefront of music systems, digital TV, top-up boxes and is now apparently going to be at the forefront of electric vehicles. The next thing the company will saying after changing their name another time is that they’ll invent flying pigs.
CHG
CHG’s 4Q17 revenue has been growing steadily as utilization rate has increased to 75% and it has benefited from the increase in social security reimbursement. It expects 2017 earnings will grow by 10-15% as targeted and plans to renovate servicing area in the hospitals in order to be able to raise service fees in the future. (Thun Hoon, 17/10/17)

K says 4Q17 revenue may be the highest of 2017, as it is going to book revenue from the Motor Expo decoration project. M’s 4Q17 revenue has favorable outlook benefited from long weekends and holidays. It has budgeted Bt200mn to launch 40 new branches all over the country in order to increase revenue channels. It targets 2017 revenue to be higher than Bt15.4bn. (Thun Hoon, 17/10/17)

PTT says 2017 oil sales volume has increased to 26bn liter and high season in 4Q17 will significantly increase oil usage. It also reports that PTTGC’s petro complex in the US will be finalized in November. (Khao Hoon, 17/10/17)

SUSCO
SUSCO says 4Q17 oil sales volume will be the highest in 2017 as a result of high season supporting 2017 revenue to grow by 8%. It also says 2H17 growth is favorable as it will not book tax. It believes 2017 revenue will reach the target of Bt20bn and plans to increase petrol stations in the last quarter giving it a total of 250 stations in 2017. It also reports 2017 oil sales from CLMV will grow by 10% and plans to continuously expend its non-oil business. (Thun Hoon, 17/10/17)

WHA
WHA plans to improve its logistics network in One Belt, One Road roadmap. It is negotiating with its partners to set up new industrial estates in Vietnam, Laos and China, which it will finalize in 4Q17 to early 2018. It believes 2017 land sales will reach Bt1.4bn as many foreigners are interested to buy its land as a result of EEC. It also plans to launch a new industrial estate soon. (Thun Hoon, 17/10/17)
