AKR expects 2Q18 to be better than 1Q18 given growing demand of transformers from both government and private entities. It has 2-3 deals worth Bt100mn in the works. CNT
CNT expects 2Q18 recovery without provisions and rising revenue. It will participate in bidding for more projects, raising its growth outlook. (Kao Hoon, 30/5/18)
GUNKUL
GUNKUL will rebrand for its 36th anniversary. With a strong financial position, it will continue expansion. It will invest overseas with partners. It targets production capacity to rise to 1,000MV within 1,000 days. It will launch a new product on June 29. (Kao Hoon, 30/5/18)
JSP
JSP had deed transfers of Bt1.8bn in 5M18. It believes revenue will reach Bt5bn as targeted. It has backlog of Bt3.1bn and will launch eight projects worth Bt2.6bn in 2H18. (Kao Hoon, 30/5/18)
LALIN
LALIN expects revenue growth of 15% to Bt4bn this year. It will launch 1-2 low-rise projects worth a total of Bt1.2bn in 2Q18. It plans to launch 8-10 projects worth Bt5bn this year. It is seeing no impact from rising labor and building material costs. (Thun Hoon, 30/5/18)
MGT
MGT expects sales of Bt100mn from C.M.J. and will book Bt230-250mn in revenue next year. It expects revenue will reach Bt800mn, backed by Bt100mn backlog. (Thun Hoon, 30/5/18)
SCC
SCC will pay Bt2.9bn for an additional 29% in LSC, which will raise its stake to 100%. This company operates a petrochemical complex in Vietnam. It will start construction in 3Q18 and come on line in 2023.  Total investment is Bt70bn over five years. (Kao Hoon, 30/5/18)
Comment: The petrochem margins have been hurting the company’s performance in the past few quarters. Regardless its’s still a compounding machine via acquisition growth 
TOP
TOP reports an average refinery margin of US$6.6/bbl in May and expects US$6-7/bbl for 2018. It forecasts oil price at US$65-70/bbl this year, higher than US$61/bbl last year. It expects an inventory gain. (Thun Hoon, 30/5/18)
TVD
TVD receives certificate from Myanmar for Fatis Coffee. It will export the product to Myanmar and expects a good response. With its growing economy, Myanmar’s purchasing power is rising. This will support its sales growth this year. (Kao Hoon, 30/5/18)
WHA
WHA will globalize its business. It is confident that EEC will restore investor confidence and be a magnet for foreign investors. It targets revenue growth of 19-20% YoY this year backed by growth in all businesses. (Thun Hoon, 30/5/18)
Comment: To us, the EEC has been a lot of noise with very very little action thus far.
