AMATAV
AMATAV has begun to develop the first phase of Amata City Halong on 770 rai of land with capex of Bt5.12bn. The project has five phases with total land of 4,500 rai. It expects to begin sales in 2020. (Kao Hoon, 3/1/19)

ATP30
ATP30 is providing tourist transport service to RP Transportation and has already booked revenue from this in 4Q18. It got a job from Thai NOK to provide ten vans as well, with revenue to be booked in February. It says 4Q18 earnings grew well, backed by its tourism business and increase in jobs from new and old customers. It expects a good performance next year too. (Thun Hoon, 3/1/19)

ERW
ERW expects vigorous tourism this year as government measures is attracting Russian and Chinese tourist. It believes tourism will return to normal in 1Q19. It has budgeted Bt3bn to set up nine hotels under its three brands HOP INN, Mercure and Ibis. It expects 1Q19 results to be good. (Thun Hoon, 3/1/19)
Comment: Wouldn’t be surprised to see tourism return to “normal” growth #’s later this year unless something else goes wrong.

GULF
GULF reports that the 126.9MW NLL2 power plant started commercial operation on Jan 1. It says the 135.2MW natural gas power plant in Saraburi will start commercial operations on Mar 1 and two SPP power plants with total electricity production capacity of 256.4MW will start commercial operation on May 1 and July 1 this year. IRPC
Sukrit Surabotsopon, executive director of IRPC, denies rumors of conflict with PTT’s executives. It says the change is being done in order to ensure a smooth transfer as he will retire this year. He has worked at IRPC for five years and he believes the company has solid fundamentals. The recruitment of the new CEO will begin on Jan 8. (Kao Hoon, 3/1/19)

IVL
IVL closed the acquisition deal for the PTA and PET manufacturer in the US. This factory will start production in 2020-2021, increasing IVL’s total PET production capacity to 1.1mn metric tons per year and total PTA production capacity to 1.3mn metric tons per year. (Kao Hoon, 3/1/19)
Comment: Boom the acquisition machine continues! I have no idea how they are able to manage things so effectively across all these acquisitions.

KOOL
KOOL will enter the foreign market, focusing on energy and environment-saving technology, to diversify risk from uncertainties in the local market. It targets revenue growth of 10% this year and is boosting its e-commerce sales. It has set capex of Bt20-30mn for the online system. (Thun Hoon, 3/1/19)

PSTC
PSTC targets revenue growth of 20% in 2019 with positive outlook. It will continue to bid for private and government projects. Current backlog is Bt1bn. It plans to start commercial operation of a 5.6MW renewable power plant and find companies to enter into joint ventures in power plant projects. (Thun Hoon, 3/1/19)

PTTEP
PTTEP has suspended production in the North and South Bongkot gas field ahead of the Papuk tropical storm. The Energy Ministry has warned all energy companies to prepare backup plans and says that a cut of 600mn cubic feet/day in gas production and 27k bbl/day of crude oil production will not raise end-user costs. SELIC
SELIC announced closing the PMC acquisition deal. This will help it save cost via economies of scale. Management says sales grew every quarter last year and expects earnings to set a new record this year. It expects sales of more than Bt1.5bn. (Thun Hoon, 3/1/19)

SUPER
SUPER announced startup of the second phase of the Agricultural Cooperative and Bureau solar farms with total electricity production capacity of 10MW. It has 130 projects in hand with total electricity production capacity of 768.6MW. (Kao Hoon, 3/1/19)
