BANPU is being negatively affected by the flooding in 11 provinces in China, as well as the stronger baht. Management maintains that performance this year will grow 20% YoY as coal price remains high. The company has already entered into forward contracts for over 50% of its coal for the year. BIZ
BIZ is in talks with private and public hospitals for 8-10 projects worth around Bt1bn. The company is also looking to diversify its business by getting into a new line of business. It is also looking for new business partners and wants to obtain more work in Cambodia. It says many funds have shown interest. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)
Comment: I do like the products and industry this company is operating in, however the valuation is urghhhh.

BSM
BSM expects 2H17 to be strong from private sector demand. Management expects D&W to turn around with Bt100mn in revenue, pushing BSM up to a new high for revenue of Bt636bn, up 20% YoY. The company expects contribution from sales of its villas of at least Bt120mn. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)
Comment: Their core business has suffered in the past from the slowdown domestically, but I am curious to see how their real estate venture for senior citizens pans out

MJD
MJD expects 2H17 to be strong from a slew of new projects. It will also launch three new condominiums worth Bt4.5bn, which will boost backlog further from the current Bt15bn. The company is also in talks with potential partners for overseas investment. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)

PREB
PREB is looking to gain new work worth Bt4bn on top of current backlog of Bt6bn. It expects revenue to grow 10% YoY from last year’s Bt5.32bn, supported by a number of projects and extra income. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)

SQ expects to generate earnings of Bt351mn, up 161%, in 1H17. 2Q17 is expected to generate Bt125mn. (Kao Hoon, 06/07/17)
Comment: Lumpy earnings and cashflows for this company, but their competition is rather limited

SINGER
SINGER will benefit from high season effect and cost control, which will bring a turnaround in 2H17. Management expects 2017 revenue to grow 30% YoY from last year’s Bt2.54bn as sales volume climbs. The company is adjusting its client portfolio for DC in hopes of lowering NPL ratioto 7% by year end. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)
Comment: I do look at this with a curious eye. I’m not entirely convinced that the company can continue

THAI
THAI will submit a project for a maintenance center to the PPP committee. It wants to build the Airbus Naramit Maintenance Center at Utapao Airport for Bt15bn. Phase I will start construction at the end of 2018. The company expects to finish construction by 2021 and will see revenue contribution of Bt1.2bn per year. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)

TPIPP
TPIPP went on a roadshow in Hong Kong with a nice reception. Its next stop will be Singapore. Management is painting a positive picture with contribution from its power business as capacity increases and new bids for the government’s SPPs worth 300MW by the end of the year . (Thun Hoon, 06/07/ 17)

VNT
VNT expects 2H17 to be strong as oil price remains low, helping to support product spreads. 2017 revenue is expected to be up 20% YoY, supported by exports to the US and India. (Thun Hoon, 06/07/17)
