BIGC/TCC
Berli Jucker Plc (BJC) to buy the 58.56% stake in Big C from France-based Casino Group. TCC Group led by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi has assigned subsidiary BJC to make the purchase, borrowing Bt220bn to finance the acquisition. (Bangkok Post, 13/2/15)
Comment: We are curious to see how shareholders of BJC react to this given that they had initially rejected Metro Vietnam at BJC’s first attempt
EASTW

FSMART reported net profit of Bt272mn, 77% growth. It reported total revenue of Bt1.68bn, up 45%. The board approved a full year dividend of Bt0.15; the, interim dividend of Bt0.02 will be paid in 2H16. (Khao Hoon, 15/2/15)

KKC
KKC reported net profit of Bt300mn, growing 422.46%. It expects to book FX gain. It expects outstanding profit in 2016 supported by lower costs because of the weak baht. The company has budgeted Bt400mn to expand capacity to produce compressors. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
KTC
KTC outperformed peers in 2015 with net profit of Bt2.07bn, up 18% from 2014, driven by net income from its credit-card and personal-loan businesses. The board has approved a dividend payment of Bt3.25 per share, to be paid on April 28. (The Nation, 13/2/15)
Comment: This despite revenue only growing 9% shows that operational improvements and financial costs improvement still have a way to go.
LIT
LIT reported 2015 earnings of Bt191mn, up 49%, with net profit of Bt70.45mn, up 47.35%. It expects to pay a cash dividend of no less than 50% after the new high for profit. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
MINT
MINT booked revenue from Tivoli hotel in Portugal and Brazil; its restaurant in Singapore is recovering. It expects good earnings in 4Q15 on high season. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
PLANB
PLANB expects revenue in 2016 to be a new high supported by Hello Bangkok advertising and media in Malaysia. It expects revenue growth of 25-30%. It is negotiating for an M&A with two airport media companies. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15) SCCC SCCC will pay an interim dividend of Bt8, XD on 18 April. This gives a total dividend of Bt15 on 2015 earnings of Bt4.58bn, down 10% from 2014. (Khao Hoon, 15/2/15)
SMPC
SMPC reported 2015 net profit of Bt477mn, up 62%, supported by lower raw material costs and the weak baht. It will pay a dividend of Bt0.32, XD on 4 April. (Khao Hoon, 15/2/15)
Comment: We were looking into this right before its run up (damn it!) and now run down (woo!) and came away thinking ok there’s a great 1 time tax benefit but business is rather lumpy
SNC

SVI recovered after acquisition to expand market to Europe. It expects good earnings in 2016. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
TCAP
TCAP expects loans to grow 3%. It plans to increase the portion of SME and retail loans. It plans to use tax benefit of Bt5bn to support profit. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
TNH
TNH plans to buy 20 rai to expand its hospital. It expects revenue growth of 9-10% in 2016 from Bt1.71bn in 2015. (Thun Hoon, 15/2/15)
TOP
TOP reported 2015 profit of Bt12.18bn supported by downstream business. It will pay dividend of Bt1.8 or yield 8%, XD on 24 February. (Khao Hoon, 15/2/15)
TRC
TRC is confident that 2016 revenue will hit target of Bt8.6bn after it got a big project. Recently, it got a contract for the construction of a potash plant in Chaiyaphum worth Bt34bn. It expects to sign the contract within 2H16. (Khao Hoon, 15/2/15)
