Comment: Was thinking aloud at one point after reading a paper from the clever folks at MBKE’s research desk that their EBITDA would look amazing this year. Proven to be the case.

EPG
EPG has introduced a new product “Aero Roof ” for houses. This brought in revenue of Bt10mn in 2016 and it targets growth to Bt500mn by 2021. The company signals a good outlook for 2H. 2017 total revenue is targeted at Bt10bn. (Thun Hoon, 14/7/17)
Comment: Hmm, unless there is another acquisition on the cards I don’t expect to see much from EPG

GFPT
GFPT is enjoying high season. Exports are doing well. It expects 3Q17 earnings to be higher than 2Q17. It is planning to invest Bt1bn to increase production capacity to boost revenue to reach annual growth of 5-10%YoY. (Thun Hoon, 14/7/17)

KTB
KTB expects to book Bt10bn in special revenue from AQ (now an NPL) in 3Q17 that will help offset the loss from EARTH. (Khao Hoon, 14/7/17)

PTTEP
PTTEP is going to join the auction for Bongkot gas field. It expects 2Q17 earnings of more than Bt7.8bn, growth of 195%YoY. (Khao Hoon, 14/7/17)

PTTGC has been able to control the xylene leak. Officials have conducted tests and confirm standards are being met. (Khao Hoon, 14/7/17)

S board approved a private placement of 400mn shares priced at Bt4.16/share for a total of Bt1.66bn. (Khao Hoon, 14/7/17)
Comment: 1.5 years ago they were planning to do a PP at THB 6/share and didn’t take advantage of the high share price at the time. Rather silly of them to have waited this long. Whilst we do like some of the projects that S has launched, I am becoming a bit more worried about the focus of management

SPALI
SPALI plans to launch new 22 projects worth Bt21.54bn. 1H presales achieved 29% growth. It believes that it can reach presales of Bt27bn. (Thai Post, 14/7/17)

THAI
THAI board approves purchase of 28 new planes over five years. The details will be sent to the board in August and to the Cabinet three months after board approval. It is now ready to open a new route from Bangkok to Vienna.
Comment: And it doesn’t require shareholder approval? Wonderful…
