CCP

CRANE expects its business to bottom out and turn around next year. It plans to extend its business to foundation work, supported by public projects. It expects to get Bt300mn worth of jobs. Comment: I’m in 2 minds about this news re AIS and 7-11, effectively CPALL is just saying “hey we are only going to charge you the same as we do everyone else what’s the problem with that?” and really what is? Or you can go down the sinister route and think that True is using CPALL to squeeze AIS out of the pre-paid market
 
HPT

KTB expects a good performance this year with net profit before provisions of Bt60bn. It expects a better margin after it adjusted its portfolio by focusing on SME and retail customers. MAKRO
MAKRO entered into an agreement via subsidiary Siam Food to buy 80% in four food companies in Singapore, Hong Kong, and UAE with total value of Bt3.05bn. (Kao Hoon, 02/11/16)

NNCL
NNCL is studying investment in 110-125MW power plants, Phase 3 at Nakorn Ratchasima IE. It also plans to ask its board for permission to invest in 50-60MW power plants, Phase 2 (30% stake), valued at Bt2.5bn in December and expects to commence operations in 2018. It expects its performance to be good because 125MW power plants, Phase 1, are already operating.. (Thun Hoon, 02/11/16)
OCEAN
OCEAN plans to invest in Phase 2 of a solar cell project. It expects this to cut electricity expense by Bt2mn/year. It targets average revenue growth of 20% within 3-5 years. It plans to implement cost control and boost its sales. It expects exports to comprise 40% and expects to get orders from Myanmar. It plans for business expansion in order to support its performance. PREB
PREB plans to launch a Bt350mn condo at Saphan Mai. This will increase its backlog from Bt600-700mn, which can cover revenue through next year. It expects to get more public projects to boost revenue. It expects transfers to lead to a better performance in 2016 than last year. (Thun Hoon, 02/11/16)
SPA

  1. A funny anecdote at a business function I was recently at in Bangkok, there were a few investors who told me that they had dumped their minor holdings in PS because they couldn’t be bothered going through the share swap process and reading the prospectus they had been sent.

    Could shareholder apathy and laziness go someway to explain the share price weakness I wonder.
