Comment: With coal prices now at USD 100, shouldn’t they be performing far better than before? If this price level holds then I’ve been reading estimates of THB 7 bn in profit next year.

BJC reported 3Q16 net profit of Bt1.8bn, up118%, with growth in all business units. Its 9M16 net profit was Bt2.77bn, up 32.1% with revenue of Bt97.28bn, up 198%. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)

CI expects 2016 revenue to reach Bt3bn with sales above Bt3bn. It plans to launch three highend SDH projects valued at Bt4.7bn over the rest of the year. EPCO
EPCO expects 4Q16 performance to be outstanding brought by two cogeneration power plants (360MW) and a 12MW Japanese power plant. It expects higher orders for its printing business. FIRE
FIRE expects its shareholders to approve an M&A with Chillmatch Co., Ltd. after its IFA okayed this transaction. It plans to list its shares on the SET next year as it expects 2017 revenue to double from 2016’s Bt700mn. It plans to expand to Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia, to where these comprise 15% of revenue from 5% now. It plans to take part in public project bids and hopes to get 25%. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)

GFPT expects 3Q16 net profit to be this year’s highest at Bt455mn (+39%) thanks to higher exports and lower cost. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)
GLOW
GLOW reported 3Q16 net profit of Bt2.22bn, up 12%. This brought 9M16 net profit to Bt7.75bn, growth of 20% thanks to FX gains and lower cost that offset the 18.85% fall in 9M16 revenue. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)
Comment: Still growing steadily, however in the past few years the decline in coal prices has helped their bottom line (its a raw mat) I do wonder how their 4Q #’s will play out given the strong rebound.
 
JTS
JTS reported 3Q16 earnings of Bt21.39mn from 3Q15 net loss of Bt4.83mn, backed by better revenue from sales, computer system management projects, and the cloud computer business. It plans to pay an interim dividend of Bt0.1/share. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)

MEGA expects 2H16 performance to rise and end the year with 5-10% revenue growth. It continues to introduce new products. It plans to set up a warehouse in Myanmar. It is talking to MALEE to set up a JV to introduce new products, with a decision made within 3Q17. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
PLANB
PLANB expects revenue from media in airport of Bt300mn in 2017 after acquiring four companies. It has broadened its footprint in the provinces and response has been good (80% of total slots in 3Q16). It plans to do an M&A abroad. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
PTG
PTG expects 3Q16 net profit of Bt160mn, up 133%YoY because of higher sales. This brought 9M16 earnings to Bt700mn. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)
Comment: And that’s all because of their network expansion.
 
SCCC
SCCC reported better sales in 3Q16 with net profit of Bt3.03bn, down 16%YoY from 3Q15’s Bt3.62bn. This came from investment abroad. It says sales from overseas activities are growing steadily, led by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
SPRC
SPRC plans to improve its refinery efficiency in 2017. Capital investment will be high, but it will use its US$80mn cash on hand and will not need to raise capital. It expects completion in 2019 and expects it to be a strong impetus to growth. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
SYNTEC
SYNTEC expects to get 2-4 new projects, valued at Bt1bn. It took part in Bt10bn bids, with the winners to be announced soon. It expects 2016 performance to achieve its target of Bt7bn. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)

TFG
TFG expects 2016 revenue to grow 20% as targeted to Bt20bn on the back of higher sales both at home and abroad and focusing on high-margin products. It expects 2017 performance to be good as it plans at least double exports. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
Comment: I wonder when reality will set in with their share price.
 
TSTH
TSTH reported 2QFY16EBT of Bt570mn, up 276%. Backing this is a rise of 14% in sales and cost control. Its 2QFY16 revenue was Bt4.62mn from sale of 314,000 tons thanks to higher demand. It expects FY2016 sales of not less than 1.2mn tons. (Thun Hoon, 31/10/16)
TTCL
TTCL expects to sign a US$800mn contract in 2016 after recovery in the petrochemical business. It expects 2016 revenue to be close to Bt22bn. Its backlog is Bt25.5bn, of which it expects to book Bt10bn in 2H16. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)

WORK
WORK took a 50% stake in Flagship Entertainment Co., Ltd. which is engaged in television program production. It also acquired 10,000 shares of Six Degree Production Co., Ltd., which increased its stake to 100%. It also took 30% in FWR Co., Ltd. through its subsidiary in order to expand its theme park business. (Kao Hoon, 31/10/16)
