EA has launched a Thai electric vehicle, MINE Mobility. It has come up with three models of its concept cars, which will be shown at the Motor Show held March 28 – April 8. It is now in the process of development before production and sales in the future. (Khao Hoon, 28/03/18)

GUNKUL
GUNKUL recently started commercial operation of its 60 MW wind farm, which is going to record revenue in 2Q18 with an adder of Bt3.5. It is going to start commercial operations of three more power plants in 2018, which will raise revenue from power production to Bt1.6bn. It plans to join the bidding for a submarine communication cable worth Bt3.2bn. (Thun Hoon, 28/03/18)

PK targets 2018 revenue of Bt5bn, as it currently has backlog of Bt2.6bn, which is going to be booked as revenue this year. It plans to focus on overseas markets and to raise the proportion of revenue from exports to 25%. It has budgeted Bt300mn to build a new factory in Indonesia in 2019. (Khao Hoon, 28/03/18)
PLANB
PLANB targets revenue to reach Bt5bn in 2020 and targets 2018 revenue to grow by 20% backed by a higher advertising rate. It says 1Q18 results will be a new high. It is negotiating to acquire an additional 15.39% of BMN shares in order to raise its holding in BMN to 28%. It has budgeted Bt1.3bn for business expansion and to add more LED displays. PLANET
PLANET believes 2018 earning will turn around and expects to start generating positive earnings from 1Q18. It targets 2018 revenue to grow by 20% to Bt800mn and currently has backlog of Bt300mn, of which 80-90% will be booked as revenue this year. It recently launched a new product, Cloud Office. SAT
SAT believes 2018 earnings will jump as the automobile industry has recovered and its expenses has declined, raising its gross margin. It currently has orders of Bt400mn on hand, all of which will be booked as revenue this year. (Khao Hoon, 28/03/18)
Comment: It does look like the soft demand experienced domestically and internationally has recovered.
TSR
TSR projects 2018 revenue of Bt2bn, growing by 20%. It says it is negotiating for two to three new OEM orders to produce water filters, which it expects to finalize in 2Q18. It plans to expand to Myanmar in 3Q18. (Khao Hoon, 28/03/18)
Comment: The industry is solid, the potential is there, but management seem slow to execute.
