BKI reported net profit of Bt627mn in 1Q14 and pay DPS of Bt2.75. It reduced premium growth target to 5% YoY from 15% YoY. Its portfolio investment is expected to generate return of no less than 5% YoY in 2014 and it is waiting to collect good fundamental stocks. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)
Comment: Well the insurance industry in Thailand still has an incredibly long way to go and more and more insurance co’s have been looking to invest in div plays in the mkt.

CHO
CHO reported 1Q14 net profit of Bt34mn, up 1,500% YoY. It said that earnings will continue to grow in 2Q14 supported by Bt1.3bn backlog on hand and with 60% of that to be booked in 2014. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

DEMCO
DEMCO reported net profit of Bt72mn in 1Q14, +820% YoY. It expects good profit in 2Q14 because it will receive dividend from Huay-bong of Bt116mn. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)
Comment: A well brokered stock, story should be known in the market by now, the value it has is in its minority equity holdings in several renewable energy co’s‎

EA
EA earnings were better than market expected with net profit at Bt460mn, up 450% YoY. Driving earnings growth was revenue of Bt2.09bn after the company booked a full quarter of revenue from its 90MW solar farm. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)‎
Comment: another well brokered story in thailand, basically a renewable energy play (seems to be a lot of them out there)

ECF
ECF expects 2Q14 performance will be flat from 1Q14. It has current backlog of Bt500mn and aims to capture new clients overseas. It expects to sign an agreement with a Japanese partner and revenue growth of 18 YoY. It is also prepares to add six ELEGA showrooms. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

ICHI
ICHI plans to invest Bt240mn to acquire the “Bireley” trademark to expand its fruit beverage line and strengthen its customer base. Earnings 2Q14 is expected to continue growing strongly. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

IVL
IVL says revenues this year will grow by 24-25% YoY. It expects to move forward with its acquisition plans and is confident that net profit this year will be better than last year’s. The company said that it has no plans to increase capital. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

QH
QH expects 1H14 revenue of Bt10bn. It plans to launch six projects worth Bt4.5bn in 2Q14 and raise budget for land purchase to Bt7.5bn. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

RATCH
RATCH has 10-year plan to invest Bt300bn to expand capacity to 9700MW from 3857MW. The result of bidding in Myanmar is expected in August. It is confident net profit in 2014 will grow because it will operate two additional power plants in late 2014. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)

SAWAD
SAWAD reported net profit of Bt186mn in 1Q14, +29.97% YoY, on an increase in total revenue from Bt397mn in 1Q13 to Bt585mn or +47% YoY, as a result of more branches and more loans, to Bt5.84bn from Bt4.10bn, +42% YoY. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)
Comment: Another great IPO performance though definitely @ fair valuations by now

TRUE
TRUE reported net profit of Bt3.84bn in 1Q14 from loss of Bt1.1bn in 1Q13 though it booked more depreciation expense of Bt1.6bn because it cut the remaining life of 2G network assets. Its 3G-4G clients, Truemove H, increased to 13.6mn. (Khao Hoon, 16/05/14)  ‎
