CENTEL
Centel’s highest dividend – Central Plaza Hotel Plc (CENTEL) will pay a dividend to shareholders at 40 satang per share, the highest in the firm’s history, thanks to its strong gains in the hotel and food business in 2013. The closing date for the shares is May 7. Payment will be done by May 22. (Bangkok Post, 29/04/14)
Comment: Sure because they realised earnings from a sale of assets/subsidiary last name, not necessarily from their operating performance

GOLD
Golden Land selling Bt2.4bn assets – Golden Land Property Development, one of the firms owned by the family of beverage tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, plans to sell Bt2.4bn worth of assets, including its upcountry land bank, to reduce its debt and to raise cash to develop residential projects in Greater Bangkok over the next few years. Comment: A turnaround/asset play here, but value seems to be realised already

JSP
JSP to file in April, trade in 2014 — It maintains revenue target of Bt3.5bn and presales of Bt8bn from 3 new projects worth Bt15bn. (Khao Hoon, 29/04/14)

LHBANK
More takeover rumors — There have been rumors that CP Group will use Ping An Insurance (Group) to buy shares in LHBANK worth Bt100mn. Details are to be finalized within 1-2 months. (Khao Hoon, 29/04/14)
Comment: So first apparently Maybank, then CP Group, funny times, and retail punters are loving it.

MONO
Mono 29 operator looks to digital future – The SET-listed Mono Technology Plc expects its TV business will contribute most of its revenue and drive the total amount to Bt5bn in the next two years following its launch today of its digital TV channel, Mono 29. (Bangkok Post, 29/04/14)

NOBLE
Noble plans private placement shares – The SET-listed Noble Development Plc plans to raise Bt2.4bn by offering 200 million shares for private placement. The funds will be used mainly to finance business expansion and strengthen financial stability amid the political and economic uncertainty. (Bangkok Post, 29/04/14)
Comment: Noble has issues at the top with management changing, rumour has it that KPN Group wants to takeover this.

PTTEP
PTTEP reports unreviewed net profit slump of 44% in 1Q14 – PTT Exploration and Production reported a drop of 44% in its unreviewed net profit for the first quarter to US$380mn (Bt12.44bn), with a foreign-exchange loss and higher depreciation and production costs the main contributing factors. ROJNA
ROJNA expects strong revenues this year, driven by high land sales of more than 3,100 rai, with 50-60% of that to be transferred this year. In 1Q14, the company said it has sold 120 rai. Its electricity business will start selling electricity at the beginning of May which should help support its earnings in 2H14. (Khao Hoon, 29/04/14)

TSTH
TSTH reports good FY2014 (ending March) with sales rising to Bt25bn YoY. Sales in FY4Q increased 12% QoQ due to robust demand from the construction industry and export channels. (Khao Hoon, 29/04/14)
