BAY keeps 7-9% loan growth aim – Bank of Ayudhya (BAY), the country’s fifth-largest lender by assets, is maintaining its lending growth target at 7-9% this year despite sentiment improving after the military coup ended the political impasse. Golden Land aiming to strike it rich – GOLD plans to spend Bt5bn to develop FYI Center, an office and hotel project in Bangkok, and aims to break even in 10 years. As the location near Soi Phai Singto in Klong Toey is off the central business district, office space at FYI will tap the grade B segment, while the hotel with 239 rooms will offer accommodation for Bt2,500-3,000 per night, said president Thanapol Sirithanachai. Comment: I still think that the office market is incredible robust in Bangkok, GOLD’s value is in its assets more than anything else, because based upon profitability you can’t justify these levels.

GUNKUL

Resignation will not affect operations — GUNKUL says the resignation of Mr. Sombat Santijaree will not affect its business operations and that recent share price drop was simply moving with the sector. It says that that business will continue expanding as planned and that revenue this year is expected to grow by 50% from last year’s Bt3bn. (Khao Hoon, 09/07/14)

Expects profit growth YoY — KTC’s management expects profit this year to surpass last year’s Bt1.3bn and plans to pay a high dividend. It also targets credit card usage to grow by more than 15% and expects personal loan NPLs to be no more than 1%. (Khao Hoon, 09/07/14)

MALEE expects high revenue growth in 2Q14 after a full quarter of revenue from two new clients. It is ready to negotiate with four new clients about CM work and expects the deal to be concluded soon. Begins trading again today — MPG will begin trading today. It says fundamentals are strong, with a profit for the past nine quarters. NYT in JV with foreign company to set up new harbor in Indonesia, getting in on the buildup of production by auto manufacturers for export. CEO Theparak Leungsuwan says the company has invested Bt100mn to buy additional land to add more A5 area that will supply long-term income. Comment: Oh my, if they can do Indonesia on top of expanding in Thailand, the value of this firm can continue to increase.
