EFORL reported 1Q14 net profit of Bt46mn with revenue of Bt203mn, up from last year, supported by import business and continual growth in sales of medical supplies and equipment. It says revenues this year will reach its target of Bt1.5-2.0bn. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14)

GUNKUL

GUNKUL expects revenue to grow by 50% YoY and net profit growth of 10% YoY. It has backlog of Bt2bn. Four solar rooftop projects have generated revenue since May. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14)

Comment: GUNKUL has become a one stop shop for the renewable energy sector with its ability to trade and manufacture electricial systems + the company itself has stakes in both wind and solar plants, steadier earnings ahead for them.

MCOT

President resigns — MCOT faces another leadership vacuum Anake, the president, resigned effective on 12 June. Politicians are trying to obtain the temporary position during transformation to digital TV before the search for a president. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14) 

OTO

OTO will trade on mai on 15 May and is confident that trading price will be above IPO price of Bt5.4 after demand for IPO was more than 6 times of total IPO shares of 80mn. It expects revenue of Bt1bn or 40% YoY growth and probably obtains three new projects soon. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14)

Comment: I think this is a fantastic business model, easy cashflows and yes the stock will pop on the first day.

PREB

PREB waiting to sign for construction work for Wat Phra Dhammakaya worth Bt1.3bn in 2Q14, which will help push its backlog to Bt10bn. It will also bid for Bt6bn worth of new projects and expects to win 80-90%. Revenue for the year is expected to reach its target Bt6.8bn. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14)

Comment: PREB has gone from a construction company of condo’s and buildings to becoming a property developer with a construction arm.

RS

RS’s Channel 8 plans to invest Bt2bn to produce new programs. The company expects Channel 8 will be among the top three digital TV stations within three years and revenues this year at Bt850mn – saying that profit will be seen starting in the first year. (Khao Hoon, 09/05/14)
