Stocks in the news (anan, cpall, cpn, ea, ivl) 20.05.25
ANAN to start transferring Bt12b worth of 3 projects, on track to meet FY25 transfer target, with government’s stimulus measures in 2Q to help boost sales under its “Urban Life Goes On” campaign.
Comment: How is this company not bankrupt? Mismanaged by it’s stoned CEO. “Hi ma look over here I’m going to launch a couple THB 50 bn projects on my overleveraged balance sheet”
CPALL sees continued growth in SSSG in 2Q, supported by high margin ready to eat food, cosmetic and drugs, Bt12-13.6bn capex to expand both domestic and oversea, sees higher growth rate than GDP.
Comment: And look – their #’s are continuing to improve…despite it all. Talks a lot about positive tailwinds for an industry…
CPN sets up CPN Green Growth to support low carbon business, sets Bt120bn 5-year capex, including Bt10bn for sustainability to develop 35MW clean energy, boosting total capacity to 68-70MW.
Comment: Green Growth? Short CPN…that’s THB 10 bn to write off from the bottom line.
EA sees major turning points, operation has improved with ability to payoff debt, with Bt5.5b maturing bond to be paid, while major banks mulls extending loans.
Comment: What ability to pay off debt? It can’t! It’s broke, it’s missed payments, if they had to pay the loans back on time they’d go under….ridiculous…the only thing to save this company is a massive cash injection
IVL sees solid 2Q on seasonal with high spread and margin recovery, sets $800m capex to upgrade production base in destination countries to mitigate trade war impact.
Comment: Is cookie munster going to reactivate?

yeah, that Green Growth thing sucked me into the criminally overpriced Betagro IPO, after I read the print out forecasts those cunts allowed their fellow brokers-in-crime to distributed to retail investors like me. they should be in jail. I know caveat emptor and all that.

Hahahahaha…..I trust all forecasts from the sell-side….It’s not their fault that the industry prices changed, as they weren’t clever enough to understand it :p anyways…along with TFG, BTG has had a decent run this year as a function of the high prices. Could last another quarter or 2 – then let’s see …

True. i did have a ‘private’ hard copy from Maybank which did not include the disclosure clause ( that it was company produced bump). but Ive been in Thailand long enough to know take our lumps and stay away from lawyers. they has they say don’t get emotional about your investments. i do like my home country’s (Ireland) colloquialism – ‘cute fuckers’ . 🙂
