ANAN
ANAN plans to launch three new projects worth Bt8.3bn. It targets presales of 60% of the value of the projects with a high demand outlook in BTS-attached condominiums. (Thun Hoon, 5/9/17)
Comment: I do foresee a risk for all property names within the next 5 years, the average age of the population in Thailand continues to grow and with the largest age group in the 40-50 segment as more and more of the population becomes older the demand for new properties will decline whilst supply remains the same if not decline. Until then names like ANAN and SPALI should continue to be ok

Comment: The story for EA nowadays is the potential battery technology, I’ve heard stories that they’ll have more stations in Thailand than Tesla plans to in the US…if you believe that then…hey look at that pig flying

(The Natio n, 5/9/17)

MODERN plans to launch a new business line by entering into the hospital business. It will clarify its plans soon. It expects the furniture market to recover. Its current backlog is Bt2.7bn with Bt1bn in revenue expected to be booked. (T hun Hoon, 5/9/17)
Comment: I have been looking for a direct play of the expansion of hospitals in Thailand, there will be a 50% increase in the number of hospital beds in Thailand but for Modern the %age coming from the hospital industry is small….
