Comment: As a pure broker of insurance they’ll earn ~10% of what they are able to sell. Minimum overheads and easy to ramp up if they are successful at executing, I still think that the insurance industry in Thailand has a long way to go despite the relatively low growth rates today just because the existing distribution channels are rather archaic.
CHG

Comment: Perhaps the only form of “entertainment” that isn’t blacklisted until the 14th November, so if you think about it wouldn’t advertisers shift their remaining budgets for the year to MAJOR? 
 
PERM
PERM expects to wipe out retain earnings losses of Bt8.5bn this year and pay a dividend at a 50% payout ratio. It expects 2016 revenue to grow more than 10% on a higher selling price. It is budgeting Bt200mn to buy machines for new plants for PU roof after it got large orders. It plans to list a subsidiary. (Thun Hoon, 08/11/16)
PLE
PLE plans to wipe out retained losses of Bt2.5bn this year using extra gain from selling assets and the funds from a capital increase. It expects 2017 performance to turn around with 2016 profit close to 2015’s Bt2.6bn. Its backlog is Bt13bn and its plans to take part in Bt10bn bids. (Thun Hoon, 08/11/16)

PTTGC expects 3Q16 net profit of Bt6.26bn, up 419% without a stock loss, higher refinery and olefins capacity and better aromatics margin. It expects to report 3Q16 performance on Nov 9. (Kao Hoon, 08/11/16)

RAM’s board approved Bt400mn investment in Encore (2016) Co., Ltd, buying 4mn shares at Bt100mn/share. This will give it a 14.54% stake. It plans to invest in a 300-bed hospital on Sukaphiban 3 with expected return of 10%. (Thun Hoon, 08/11/16)
SMART
SMART posted 3Q16 net loss of Bt7.48mn which brought 9M16 net loss to Bt28.62mn, hit by fewer orders and lower selling price. It plans to expand to Cambodia and Laos in 4Q16, raising its portion of revenue from abroad. (Kao Hoon, 08/11/16)
SPVI
SPVI reported a significant growth in 3Q16 net profit (+46.12%). It expects 4Q16 sales to peak on the launch of iPhone7 and iPhone7 plus. It expects 2016 revenue to hit Bt2bn. It expects 2017 performance to recover with a higher margin. (Thun Hoon, 08/11/16)

STPI’s board approved the purchase by a subsidiary of 60% of a 7.9MW waste power plant in Phetchburi, valued at Bt840mn. It expects this to COD within 2018. (Kao Hoon, 08/11/16)
Comment: Now that explains the recent move in the stock price. So STEC has gone into TSE and the relative has gone into waste-to-energy.
 
TLUXE
TLUXE is budgeting Bt4bn to invest in geothermal power plants. It targets 50 projects within three years. It expects a strong performance in 2017 aided by recovery in the feed business and revenue contribution from the power business. (Kao Hoon, 08/11/16)
TNR
TNR plans to offer 75mn IPO shares. It expects its shares to trade on the SET in November. The objective of this funding is debt repayment and for working capital. It expects to be the second largest condom producer globally with capacity of 1,959mn pieces/year. (Kao Hoon, 08/11/16)
