PLANB

PYLON expects good earnings in 1Q16 supported by revenue of more than Bt100mn. It has backlog of Bt600mn and will book all of this as revenue in this year. It is bidding for new jobs worth Bt1bn. (Thun Hoon, 22/03/16)

SCN
SCN sets 2016 revenue growth target at 40% supported by its backlog of Bt500mn. It is bidding for a new job worth Bt200mn. It plans to list subsidiary Siam Vacso on mai in 2H17. (Kao Hoon, 22/03/16)

SPORT
SPORT expects this year will be good supported by print and online advertising. It has organized a “Euro-Olympic football” activity which will bring in revenue of Bt170mn. (Kao Hoon, 22/03/16)

TGCI
TGCI expects sustainable profit in manufacture of ceramic tiles. It expects good earnings in 2H16 supported by big government projects. It plans to set up 1,700 distributors as it expands into ASEAN. THAI
THAI has budgeted Bt2.2bn to improve its personnel structure. It will get two Airbus 350s in mid-2016 to fly routes within ASEAN. (Thun Hoon, 22/03/16)
Comment: THAI’s stock price has rebounded by some 70% from its lows when Somkid et al came out saying that the airline is turning around and may potentially buy a stake in airasia, we’ll see in 2 months how their 1q performance is. If it is still a -ve then don’t be surprised to see the stock return back to single digits, this company still has an incredible long way to go…

WICE
WICE expects total revenue of Bt900mn, growth of 30% in 2016. It targets growth to average 20% in each of the next three years, supported by old business and expansion into new business. It is negotiating with two foreign partners to expand its logistics business. (Kao Hoon, 22/03/16)

  1. Regarding JAS, isn’t it a 645MB security deposit forfeited + undetermined damages payable to the NBTC from the pending lawsuit? Pete is in deep shit either way, it is looking increasingly likely he plans to dump his shares and start over in some other business.

    I think THAI still hasn’t found its bottom before the turnaround magic starts the happen. Totally agree this one will take several years just to get started.

    • I’ve read the terms and conditions of the auction just out of interest as I don’t own JAS but I think their liability is limited to the auction costs and guarantee forfeiture. Also they would have entered into the contract with the JASMBB entity so the liability would be limited to the susidiary.

      I highly doubt the NBTC can reach to JAS or even Mono as punishment. Perhaps a civil suit against the directors (Pete and Co) for negligence?
