BH says 2H17 revenue will be higher than 1H17 revenue of Bt8.9bn as it is getting more clients during the frequent weather changes. GLOBAL says outlook for 2018 revenue is good on expectation of a strong recovery in purchasing power after seeing a signal of a pickup in agricultural commodities. It plans to open 7-8 branches with an investment budget in 2018 close to 2017’s Bt2.4bn. It also expects to launch its first store in Cambodia in the early 2018. (Thun Hoon, 20/10/17)

SKY signed contracts for two new projects worth Bt903mn: a border internet project, worth Bt469mn and CCTV project at Suvarnabhumi airport worth Bt434mn. It plans to book some portion of revenue immediately. It expects 2017 revenue to grow 70% from last year. (Khao Hoon, 20/10/17)

  1. That’s the problem with commodities, at the time, they thought oil sands was the future given depleting reserves in conventional oil wells and shale was still in its infancy. Fast forward 6 years and the land scape looks very different.

    • What I have found interesting with shale is that the depletion rate is ridiculously fast. And so perhaps one time in the future people will be talking about peak cheap oil?
