BNA VN: Sets after-tax profit of VND91bn (+38% YoY) in 2022

Comment: Here’s the fun thing about VN compared to TH, there the local SEC hasn’t blocked companies (like they have in TH) from telling the public what they plan to make this year. This company has grown their profits by 4x since 2019.

HDB VN: CEO Pham Quoc Thanh registered to buy 1mn HDB shares (0.05%) via order-matching and/or block trade methods from Mar 01 to Mar 30. Prior to the transaction, he owned no share at HDB.

NVL VN: To establish a subsidiary to do a 23,500-hectare project in Dak Nong Province

Comment: That’s ridiculous compared to their b/s, expect to see a lot of partners coming in for this project.

VIC VN: 12 hotels of Vinpearl will be transferred to Meliá for management

VHM VN: VHM has decided to establish 2 new subsidiaries named Vinpearl Landmark 81 JSC (with charter capital of VND1.605trl) and Vincom Retail Landmark 81 (with charter capital of VND1.23trl). In particular, VHM will contribute 99.88% to Vinpearl Landmark 81 and 99.84% to Vincom Retail Landmark 81.

Comment: Considered the LH of VN. Their main office is rather decadent, think Soviet era massive tables.

VND VN: State Securities Commission (SSC) has approved VND’s plans to issue a total 782.9mn new shares, including 435mn shares to offer to existing shareholders and 348mn bonus shares. No further information has been provided yet.

Comment: A broker – mainly retail investors are the customers (then again 95% of the volume on the VN markets are retail), and reported a fantastic 2021, up 3x profits
