1. FTSE Rebalance — FTSE changes take effect at today’s close. CPN moves from Large Cap to Mid Cap, while BTS, LH, SCCC and TU move from Mid Cap to Small Cap. Small Cap additions also include FTREIT and THAI, while BLAND, SPCG and TPIPP are deleted. Estimated notable passive inflows are THAI +THB2.3bn, TTB +THB1.4bn, FTREIT +THB760m and CPF +THB730m. Estimated outflows include MINT -THB1.0bn, BDMS -THB460m, BEM -THB300m, TU -THB260m and LH/BLAND -THB230m each, with smaller outflows in COM7, TPIPP, BTS and SPCG. Expect elevated volume and potential price dislocations into the closing auction.

  2. Digital Economy — NSO’s 2Q26 ICT survey showed 63.2m people, or 96.2% of the population, use mobile phones, while 61.6m, or 93.7%, use the internet. Computer usage remains substantially lower at 17.2m, or 26.2%, underscoring Thailand’s structurally mobile-first digital economy and embedded connectivity demand.

  3. RMB/THB Settlement — China is expanding its central clearing infrastructure to include the Thai baht, Singapore dollar and New Zealand dollar, potentially improving regional cross-border settlement efficiency and strengthening financial connectivity between China and regional markets.

  4. TH plans to finalize terms of a US tariff agreement ahead of PM Anutin’s talks with President Trump, Commerce Minister Suphajee says. It could seek slightly lower tariff rates than the current 12.5% imposed on most covered exports.
