BCPG is cooperating with IEAT to develop a “smart grid” in Smart Park industrial estate in Rayong to support foreign investors coming to Thailand. It projects this will be able to generate electricity of 60-100 MW and the investment cost will be Bt40mn/MW. (Thun Hoon, 22/03/18)

CMAN
CMAN’s price rose by 30.21% from its IPO price of Bt3.84/share to Bt5/share on its first trading day. It is going to proceed with an acquisition of a lime plant in Vietnam to raise revenue from abroad; it expects to finalize the deal within 6 months. (Thun Hoon, 22/03/18)
Comment: An easy IPO given the size of the company, but I wonder what price they are paying for this asset in Vietnam
EGCO
EGCO reports it sold 49% of its shares in Masinloc power plant in the Philippines. The transaction was completed on March 20 and it has booked revenue of US$850mn or Bt27bn. It plans to use the proceeds to invest in and develop new projects. (Khao Hoon, 22/03/18)
GPI
GPI says the booths in the Motor Show have been fully booked, even though the rent was raised by 7%. It says this will drive 1H18 results to achieve target. It is going to book revenue from Bangkok Used Car Show 2018 in 2Q18. (Thun Hoon, 22/03/18)
HMPRO
HMPRO targets 2018 revenue growth of 5% with SSS growth of at least 4% on the recovery of purchasing power since the end of last year. It has budgeted Bt6bn to add new stores and renovate existing ones; it plans to open new 1-2 HomePro stores and 8 HomePro S. Comment: That would be an incredible achievement should they be able to do SSSG of 4%. I think the key driver for them as been the potential improvements in Malaysia.
HTC
HTC targets 2018 revenue to grow by 4-6%. It plans to focus on expanding its market in the South where tourists are increasing and the weather is hot. It is going to import and distributes new products from 1-2 brands and believes 2018 earnings will be another high. It targets revenue to reach Bt7bn in three years. (Khao Hoon, 22/03/18)
IVL
IVL announced that its joint venture, CC Polymers, has acquired a PTA and PET factory in the U.S. with PET production capacity of 1.1mn metric tons and PTA capacity of 1.3mn metric tons. This factory is the world’s largest vertically integrated PTA and PET plant. (Khao Hoon, 22/03/18)

TACC
TACC targets 2018 revenue to grow by 10%. It recently acquired a license to distribute products under Rilakkuma and San-X brands with a four-year contract covering seven countries. It plans to launch 2-3 new products to strengthen growth. (Khao Hoon, 22/03/18)
THCOM
THCOM signed B MOU with Canal+ Overseas Myanmar to lease 4 transponders on Thaicom 6 to launch a pay TV DTH service platform in Myanmar. This will be used to deliver initially 80 channels. (Khao Hoon, 22/03/18)
