Comment: There was a quick shortlived bounce in SAT recently on expectations of improved performance. We still have our doubts…which is a shame as its a decently run automotive manufacturing firm
SCCC approved the purchase of Holcim (Lanka) Limited by a subsidiary. This company is a clinker producer in Sri Lanka. It has approved a price of Bt13bn. It expects this to act as a springboard to expand to other regions. It reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt1.21bn. It will pay dividend of Bt8/share, payment on Aug 19. (Thun Hoon, 26/07/16)
