SINGER
Singer Thailand keen to pursue M&A – SET-listed Singer Thailand Plc is exploring inorganic growth in an effort to bring its annual sales growth back to 20% in the long run. The company, a distributor of sewing machines and other electrical appliances, is keen to acquire other distributors and manufacturers of consumer machinery products, chief executive Boonyong Tansakul said. (Bangkok Post, 06/10/14)
Comment: SINGER needs acquisitions if it wants to maintain its high growth rate of 20% p.a., in a way they have done incredibly well in tapping the upcountry market, and if any acquisition provides them with additional customers to sell through its current products then it can be a net-net positive.

Comment: TICON has been strapped by their balance sheet D/E reaching 3:1 levels and occupancies rates declining because of electronic firms leaving Thailand. The REIT does help them more b/c of its ability to leverage further.

TSE
TSE is preparing to sell IPO shares in mid October and list on mai in late October. The company said that it will eliminate accumulated loss of Bt234mn on the balance sheet. (Thun Hoon, 06/10/14)
