📊 ADVANC.BK Company Background

Advanced Info Service PCL (AIS) is Thailand’s largest mobile operator, spanning prepaid/postpaid wireless, fixed broadband, enterprise ICT and device sales. The name is the telecom cash-flow engine inside the post-amalgamation Gulf–Intouch group; earnings track mobile ARPU and broadband net-adds. The share last printed THB 349.00, up THB 4.00 from Friday’s 345.00 close, still well below the THB 410.00 52-week high and on a high-teens TTM multiple after a modest rerating from the December 2025 close of THB 313.00. SET’s indicated yield is inflated by the large FY25 cash distribution paid in April 2026; book value per share has compressed versus year-end 2025, so the stock now screens at a very high P/BV on current equity.

ADVANC/TRUE — Flood resilience: Thailand’s two major mobile operators have stepped up emergency network measures in response to widespread flooding. ADVANC has strengthened 24-hour proactive monitoring, network infrastructure and backup systems in at-risk areas, while TRUE has deployed flood barriers around vulnerable facilities, strengthened emergency monitoring and backup power, and prepared mobile base-station capacity. The response highlights the importance of telecom networks as critical infrastructure during extreme-weather events, particularly as authorities increasingly rely on Cell Broadcast and mobile connectivity for emergency communication.

AWC — Asset World Corp plans to raise at least US$1bn through a new Thai REIT targeted for listing in early 2027, initially injecting four hotels and Bangkok’s Empire Building with a combined appraised value of ~THB48bn. Management expects foreign institutional investors to account for around half of the initial offering and sees the REIT becoming a recurring asset-recycling vehicle, with another nine properties being prepared for subsequent injection. Proceeds would strengthen AWC’s balance sheet and help fund its THB100bn hotel and commercial expansion programme through 2030. More details are due Sep 29. Worth watching after MINT postponed its own roughly US$1bn REIT amid investor yield concerns, making AWC’s ability to secure foreign demand a useful read-through on institutional appetite for Thai property assets.

Comment: AWC is educating MINT how to use capital markets now? Big Bill can’t be happy with what his team is doing….

CRC Tops has established a 24-hour flood-response centre to manage store operations, supply chains and essential-goods inventory during the flooding. Some at-risk branches have temporarily closed or adjusted opening hours, while the retailer says essential supplies remain adequate. The update illustrates the two-sided consumer read-through from the floods — stronger precautionary purchases of necessities, but disruption to store operations and footfall in affected areas.
